The second book in the Hunger Games trilogy take us back into Katniss’s life as she tries to deal with her new life. However it is not the life of pleasure’s she expected. In fact it seems in many ways harder than her old life. She finds herself in a rather difficult position and on several occasions pays the consequences of some of her less thought through actions. With a special anniversary Hunger Games coming up however an unexpected twist see’s us dealing with yet another live changing experience for Katniss that provides a thrilling ending to the second book.
I have to say I think I prefer this to the first book. It was far more gripping from earlier on and full of exciting additions. I also thought there were quite a few clever idea’s within the story and the ending was definitely gripping and making me want to read the last book.
